Good route, beer too small!

I'd expected to get a pint at the end so a half was a bit dissappointing

Good race

Would be good if you enforced the headphone / earbuds rule better. I lot of times I wanted to get past people on the narrow country park paths and they could not hear me when I asked them to move, which meant me having to run through long grass / weeds / uneven surfaces to get by them

Good vibes, good beer

To ease parking and to enjoy the beer, it should be mentioned that Reading Bus service#3 (between Reading and Wokingham via Shinfield, Arborfield and Barkham) can get you to this event (Harvest Path stop).

Brilliant ... again

Well done Ellie, Ian, Chris and everyone involved. Great venue, route, organisation and a free beer. Can't wait until the next one. Thanks so much

Lovely course, good start /finish

Medal nice though shame there was as picture of just a man on it, could have had maybe a woman also or just a picture related to the race/running (same for the glass)

Enjoyable, but some opportunities to evolve

I have taken part in two of the 10K events this year & it is great to see the growth from March to September in terms of set up, logisitics etc.

The route is lovely, a great mix of pavement & paths across fields.
My biggest frustration is the first 3k is SO congested & on paths too small to overtake. I wasn't running for a PB, but I found it really difficult to establish pace & often dangerous as there is no opportunity to break from the pack until 3k ish.

Might be worth organising the start in times?

Great beer & food at the end & loved that the medal changed from the last event I did.
Thank you

Siren Brew 10K v2…. Amazing!

Thank you Ellie and team. It’s amazing to see all of the feedback from the first event was heard. The 1 lap course was fantastic, the change in the start/finish line made all of the difference and even the small updates like the baggage tent made everything run so smoothly. THANK YOU

Very flat fast course suitable for all standards

Medical aid was very good ! Lottie and Steve were an immense help for me. The two family members who ran on the day with me are really keen to do it again.

Great day

Had assumed , the free glass and beer would be a pint , not half a pint , this was a disappointing.

Lovely event, well organised and a great atmosphere

A nice route, the road crossings and kissing gates were well managed. Great to support a local business and well done on ordering the last of the summer sun for the day as well :-)

Barnes Fitness events are always well organised, this one came with the added bonus of a nice beer in the sunshine!

See you next time

Favourite event of the year so far

Route was much improved and I got a PB over the distance. Narrow in places but all Marshals and traffic staff were superb. Start/finish area much easier to get around. Glass and medal are wonderful mementos

Enjoyable 10k with beer

A really welcoming and enjoyable 10k route with a Siren beer at the end. Fantastic!
My only piece of advice would be to try and encourage people to organise themselves a bit better to start relative to their speed. Of course I’m not suggesting anything formal but maybe a “people under 40 mins to the front, now people running under 45 mins” etc. It would prevent bottlenecks and safety issues of faster runners trying to get past the slower runners.

Friendly inclusive race!

I like that it's limited to approx 500 people.
Really helped with adjusting the start finish line.
Can the next one be 22nd March - already booked for a race the following weekend ! (Prague/Berlin Half marathons 28/29th)
